People for Jira

User Guide

This is the User Guide for Project Science - People for Jira.

Requirements

1. To install and use People for Jira you will need a cloud instance of Jira, and one or more ’next gen’ projects.
2. We recommend that at least ten Jira issues are visible in your project before you start using People for Jira. It will report if there aren’t enough Jira issues in your project to generate insights on.

Installation

1. To install the App into your Jira cloud instance, follow the instructions on the Atlassian Marketplace.

Configuration

1. No additional configuration is required

Operation

1. Navigate to your chosen Jira issue
2. Find the issue panel that contains your issue summary, description and other fields of interest.
3. Click on the App button at the top of the issue page, and select the ‘People for Jira’ option, shown with the head icon
4. The App will then run, perform the analytics, and provide its output in the Issue panel.
