James Lea, Founder of Project Science
Since graduating with a BA Hons (Oxon) Physics I have acquired over 20 years’ experience delivering and consulting on complex projects and programmes in the nuclear, aerospace, air traffic control, defence and energy sectors.
I apply a skeptical empirical approach to restore and maintain control of projects and programmes. I’m a keen practioner of ultra-low defect approaches that reduce risk and volatility, and improve delivery efficiency. To share these ways of thinking, I have founded a company project management community of best practice, participated in a range of business improvement initiatives, and continues to mentor new project managers.
I firmly believe that in our professional endeavours there is always a better way, and that our job as project leaders is to inspire our teams to continually innovate, lift our team performance and bring that vital sense of flow to our work, through which teams can gain job satisfaction and delight clients and sponsors.
I am a Fellow of the Association for Project Management (FAPM), a Member of the British Computer Society, and a Chartered IT Professional (CITP).
We have access to a range of specialist consulting partners in delivery and technology development, and can scale to meet your project needs.
